Advanced Webinar – Investigating dependencies on SHARE data through logistic probability models

On November 11 and 12, 2021, we successfully conducted a specialized webinar for advanced audience on the topic: Analysis of data from SHARE Corona through logistic probability models. The lecturer and author of the seminar program Assoc. Prof. Ekaterina Tosheva (Department of Statistics and Econometrics, UNWE and Institute for Educational Research) introduced the participants to the possibilities of using logistic probability models for research purposes on the SHARE and SHARE Corona panel data. The webinar covered theory and practical exercises using different types of multinomial and ordinal logistic regressions. Students and PhD students from various educational and scientific organizations (Sofia University, SWU, NBU, IFS-BAS) actively participated in the webinar. Asenka Hristova, Executive Director of the Institute for Educational Research, shared highlights from her research experience in the field of macroeconomic and social research. Assoc. Prof. Gabriela Yordanova and Ch. Assist. Prof. Dr. Ekaterina Markova took an active part in the discussions with detailed information about the Bulgarian scientific publications based on SHARE and the opportunities for future research.
The current series of webinars are possible thanks to a project under the National Roadmap for Research Infrastructure (2017-2023) – Consortium SHARE ERIC Bulgaria for Scientific Infrastructure for Survey of Health, Ageing and Retirement in Europe – SHARE (Agreement № D01-380 /18.12.2020 between the Ministry of Education and Science and IFS-BAS).
