Zhelyu Vladimirov
Zhelyu Vladimirov is a Doctor of Economic Sciences and Professor at the Faculty of Economics of the Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski “. He teaches courses on HRM, Organizational change and development, and Management of innovations. He was two times a vice dean of the Faculty and once a vice-rector of the Sofia University. He specialized in Paris (EHESS – 1987), Spain (IISL – 1996), Greece (Athens University of Economics and Business – 2002), USA (George Washington University – 2006), United Kingdom (University Survey 2013-2015). He is Doctor Honoris Causa of the University of Neuchatel, Switzerland since 1999.
His main interests are in the field of economic sociology and the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises. He has over 100 publications, including 9 articles in journals with an impact factor. He has participated in more than 30 national and international projects, heading 15 of these. His recent participation were in projects such as: 2012 – 2013, ICT – Financial and Accounting Seminars Targeting European Regions (FASTER), 518894-LLP-1-2011-1-GR-KA3-KA3MP – head for Bulgarian team; 2013-2015, MARIE CURIE Fellowship, SME Competitiveness, Intra-European Fellowships (IEF) FP7-PEOPLE-2012-IEF, Grant Agreement Number 327405. In the SHARE project he is a head of the team at the Sofia University as a partner.
