Nikolay Netov

Assoc. Prof Dr Nikolay Chudomirov Netov is a Head of the Department of Statistics and Econometrics at the Faculty of Economics at the Sofia University. Kl. Ohridski. Over the last fifteen years he has worked on many international scientific, applied and educational projects in cooperation with a large number of colleagues from around the world.
In the period 2005-2008 Prof Netov took part in the project funded by the European Commission where he acquires practical experience for project planning, coordination and management of activities related to ICT based solutions for e-learning and distance learning. In the period 2011-2014 he participated in a project funded by the European Commission, where he further developed his practical experience and skills for project planning, organization and implementation of e-learning oriented to competence building.
In the period from 2015 until now Assoc. Prof Netov is a member of the teams in three other projects funded by the European Commission. In the SHARE project he is responsible for the development of e-learning content based on project results. In the ERASMUS + project “Digital Orientation Competences: Continuation of My Professional Studies” he is working on the creation and implementation of new and innovative tools for career guidance and career training in Bulgaria. In the third EC funded project he is responsible for developing an innovative platform to provide the knowledge, information and skills needed by future entrepreneurs.
Assoc. Prof Netov is a member of the board of directors of the Association of Graduates of the Faculty of Economics, Sofia University, which is the largest and oldest alumni association in the country with more than 7 000 active members.
In 2014 Assoc. Prof Netov received an annual award for the project “Career in IT”, initiated and managed by him as the best 2013 project for cooperation between the business and the NGO
In 2015 the headed by Assoc. Prof Netov Career in IT project received a distinction in the category “Investor in Knowledge” during the thirteenth annual awards for responsible business of the Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum.
