Gabriela Yordanova
Gabriela Yordanova is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (IPS-BAS). She has a PhD in Sociology. Gabriela Yordanova is a member of the Union of Scientists in Bulgaria (USB) and the Bulgarian Sociological Association (BSA). She has rich experience of survey and evaluation work for different ministries, municipalities, and companies in Bulgaria. Her research interests are: knowledge society, industrial relations, corporate social responsibility, lifelong learning, time management and teleworking (virtual and distant work), platform work, work-life balance.
She is a team member of the project DIRESOC: Digitalisation and Restructuring: which social Dialogue?, coordinated by University of Liège – LENTIC Research Center in New Ways of Working, Innovation and Change, Belgium, and a researcher in the project BEYOND 4.0: Inclusive Futures for Europe BEYOND the impacts of Industry 4.0 and Digital Disruption (BEYOND 4.0), coordinated by Netherlands Organisation for applied scientific research TNO. Gabriela is also a country team operator (CTO) of the international project SHARE – Survey of Health, Ageing and Retirement in Europe, wave 7, 8, and 9.
She is also a coordinator of the activities at IPS-BAS of the SHARE-ERIC Bulgaria project, funded by Ministry of Education and Science – Bulgaria within the National Roadmap for Research Infrastructures. She lectures at Plovdiv University Paisii Hilendarski. Gabriela was involved as a Bulgarian expert on project financed by Centre for Employment Relations Innovation and Change at Leeds University Business School on topic “Social protection for workers in the collaborative economy – Bulgaria”.
